"MAGGIE AND FRANK"
Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. Are you aware of the time you have spent with your loved one? Most of us don't think about it until it's too late. This is something we should be aware of on a daily basis. And especially the time we have left, whether it be long or short. This is the story of two people in love, married for a long pierod of time. Their names are "Maggie & Frank":-----MAGGIE LAYED DOWN THE MAGAZINE AS THE DOCTOR CAME THROUGH THE DOOR---HE HAD A WORRIED LOOK ON HIS FACE, SHE HADN'T SEEN THERE BEFORE---SLOWLY SHE AROSE FROM HER WAITING ROOM CHAIR, AND SHUFFLED STEPS IN HER WORN OUT SHOES---CLUTCHED HER PURSE EVER SO TIGHTLY, PRAYING SHE COULD BARE THE NEWS---HER HUSBAND FRANK HAD SUFFERED A STROKE, AND LAY IN A COMATOSE---THEY HAD BEEN MARRIED FOR 63 YEARS, LIFE HAD BEEN GOOD TO THEM BOTH---IF HE SHOULD PASS AND LEAVE HER ALONE, SHE WONDERED WHAT SHE'D DO---A THOUGHT PASSED THROUGH MAGGIE'S MIND, I DON'T THINK I COULD LIVE WITHOUT YOU---SCARED-SHE APPROACHED THE DOCTOR, AND SAID HOW IS MY FRANK TODAY---I HOPE YOU'RE NOT HERE TO TELL ME, MY FRANK HAS GONE AWAY---ON THE CONTRARY SAID THE DOCTOR, WITH A SMILE UPON HIS FACE---IT SEEMS THAT GOD'S NOT READY TO TAKE FRANK TO ANOTHER PLACE---HE HAS COME OUT OF HIS COMA AND WANTS TO SEE HIS WIFE---AND HE HAS ASSURED ME THAT HE'S NOT THROUGH WITH THIS LIFE---AS MAGGIE ENTERED FRANK'S ROOM, HE REACHED OUT HIS HAND---AND SAID, LIFE IS STRANGE MAGGIE, SOMEDAY WE WILL UNDERSTAND---AND MAGGIE LOOKED UP TO HEAVEN, THANKING GOD FOR A FEW MORE YEARS---AND HOLDING FRANK IN HER ARMS, THEY BOTH SHED HAPPY TEARS---A REMINDER FOR US ALL, AS WE TAKE OUR DAILY STEPS---BE GRATEFUL FOR THE TIME WE'VE SHARED, AND THE TIME THAT WE HAVE LEFT:-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will return.

Wow, what a busy week, sorry I'm just now commenting on your entry. This is really a great poem and hit the spot for what we have been through this week. Thomas and all his brothers and sister regret that they took it for granted that their mother lived so close that they didn't see her as much as they should. It seems like that's what happens when someone close passes. But, She knew they loved her and I told him, that's all that matters. Thanks, for the poem it is awesome.
