Tales From Two Texas Paw Paw

Hi folks, this is 2 Texas PawPaw and the reason for this blog is I like to tell stories and try to write a little poetry now and then. Most of my writings is about my family because I have the greatest family in the world, I realize if you dont know my family, it might be a little boring to you but maybe my family will get a kick out of some of it anyway, Hope you like it and if you dont, well, thats ok too, you're still my friend.

"A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. The smoke from the chimney has begun to die out, and the flames in the fireplace begin to smoulter away. The lights are removed and the tree is boxed and safely tucked away in the attic. Company has left and returned home, and leftovers are spread on the table for a few of those who might still be hungry. All the outside decorations have been taken down and the new has already worn off of your gifts. Christmas, 2005, once again has come and gone. Just around the corner is a new year and time for resolutions. The work train begins again for many and for others, school isn't that far away. Loved ones and family members have added new memories for the future. Senior citizens seemed to have remained the same, middle aged adults haven't changed that much, all teens think they are smarter than last year, and the grandkids and younger ones have grown tremendously. The only thing remaining the same as all of our other Christmas's is the birth, celebration, and remembrance of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Let us not wait until next Christmas to put him in our hearts and minds, let us honor him every day of the year. This could be our New Years Resolution. What better way to thank Him for all he has done for us. This is Two Texas PawPaw, hoping that this past Christmas was a Christmas To Remember for you and yours.

Yes, this truly was a Christmas to remember! I think this is the first year that Josh has actually gotten into it. He really was excited about opening presents, and was really into Santa Claus this year. It was so neat to see his little face light up at everything. And of course Greg and I tried our best to teach him about the true meaning of Christmas, but I am not sure he gets that quite yet. But, a seed was planted if nothing else.
