Tales From Two Texas Paw Paw

Hi folks, this is 2 Texas PawPaw and the reason for this blog is I like to tell stories and try to write a little poetry now and then. Most of my writings is about my family because I have the greatest family in the world, I realize if you dont know my family, it might be a little boring to you but maybe my family will get a kick out of some of it anyway, Hope you like it and if you dont, well, thats ok too, you're still my friend.

"DURING ALL THE PRAYERS, DON'T FORGET"

Hi folks this is Two Texas PawPaw. This morning, I would like to share one of my favorite scriptures with you to maybe give you some so called food for thought. It is found in Philippians, Chapter 4, verse 7. (AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS). We have all been doing a considerable amount of praying lately for a lot of different things. Greg and Ang moving to Pampa, Kendra and the sudden change in her and Jerry's life, Heath and Julie on their journey to bring little Meghan home, Nanny II in her life change concerning the Nursing Home and her age, and I am sure there are other various things in your life that you have made prayer request to God for. This is all well and good, and we should continue to do so, lest we not forget our other obligation to Christ. We can petition the Lord for things we need every morning. God's word tells us to lay our request before him. "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition, (meaning definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God". Phil 4:6. But, don't spend all your time with God petitioning for things. You are out of balance if your petitions out weighs your praise and thanksgiving. A heart full of thankfulness will make any day better. If something you prayed for yesterday was granted in an acceptable way, don"t forget to give God the praise for the answer you received when you go to him again today for more requests. Just a thought.-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I'll be back tomorrow.
