Tales From Two Texas Paw Paw

Hi folks, this is 2 Texas PawPaw and the reason for this blog is I like to tell stories and try to write a little poetry now and then. Most of my writings is about my family because I have the greatest family in the world, I realize if you dont know my family, it might be a little boring to you but maybe my family will get a kick out of some of it anyway, Hope you like it and if you dont, well, thats ok too, you're still my friend.

"PARENT TO CHILD PRAYER"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. I hope everyone has been extending their prayers for Heath, Julie and Meghan. I feel confident that you have. The reports we have so far are all good and we want to keep it that way. Although we as family have been praying for them, did you ever stop to think how much praying they have done in relationship of parent to child. Starting with Nanny II praying for Libby and Dennis, Libby and Dennis praying for Heath and Julie, and Heath and Julie praying for Meghan. Never underestimate the ponderings of a Christian parent. Never underestimate the power that comes when a parent pleads with God on behalf of a child. Who knows how many prayers are being answered right now because of the faithful ponderings of a parent, not only today in the Meghan chapter, but the prayers ten and twenty years ago? God listens to thoughtful parents. Praying for our children is a noble task. If what we are doing, in this fast-paced society, is taking us away from prayer time for our children, we are doing too many other things that are not as important. There is nothing more special and more precious than time that a parent spends struggling and pondering with God on behalf of a child. I hope each one of you continue our special prayer service for Heath, Julie and Meghan. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 54:13, (ALL YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE TAUGHT BY THE LORD, AND THEY WILL HAVE MUCH PEACE):----- Please carry on the Prayer Session. This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I'll be back tomorrow.

Very good Post Dad, you are so right!! God is an "Awesome" God to answer and help all of us in our time of Prayer and all the special things we ask of him, How he must "Love" us!! I know how much I Love my Children and he has so many and so much Love to give. I have lived my whole life "Praying for my Children, and it doesn't matter how old they get I still Pray for them.

As a mom I don't see how anyone could NOT pray for their kids. But, I know there are people out there that don't. Anyway, you are right prayer is powerful...and it's amazing to think that "We love, because he first loved us". How great his love must be if he loves us EVEN more than we love our own children! Hard to imagine.
