"WATCHING JOSHIE GROW"
Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. This past weekend, my wife and I got to keep our little great grandson, Josh, Sat evening and night and part of Sunday. Everytime he comes for a lengthy visit I have the opportunity to observe him a little more. And each time, its a new experience, the things he does, and the things he says. I realized this time he is growing and growing and growing. What's that old Willie Nelson song, 'Ain't It Funny How Time Slips Away'? So true in the case of Joshua Alan:-----I STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF MY HOME, THERE'S ONE THING FOR SURE I KNOW---A PEACE COMES OVER THIS HEART OF MINE, WATCHING JOSHIE GROW---HE IS LEAVING THE STAGE OF INFANT, AND APPROACHING THE STAGE OF BOY---AND QUICKLY LEARNING THE MEANING, OF BRINGING ME JOY---SUCH A QUICK LITTLE MIND HE HAS, IT'S ALWAYS ON THE GO---I WITNESS ALL THE NEW ADVENTURES, WATCHING JOSHIE GROW---BEFORE VERY LONG HE WILL BE A MAN, AND THE YOUNGSTER WILL BE NO MORE---AND I'LL PROBABLY WISH HE WOULD BE THE SAME, AS HE WAS BEFORE---BUT TIME AND AGE WILL CAUSE THIS, AND FROM CHILDHOOD, HE WILL HAVE TO GO---BUT I'LL NEVER FORGET THE MEMORIES OF WATCHING JOSHIE GROW---AND I HOPE HE NEVER FORGETS, THAT I LOVE HIM VERY MUCH---AND I HOPE WHEN HE GROWS UP, HE WILL ALWAYS KEEP IN TOUCH---UNTIL THEN, THE SHADES OF HAPPINESS, WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE TO FLOW---AND NOTHING WILL EVER TAKE THE PLACE OF WATCHING JOSHIE GROW:-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I'll be back tomorrow.

Wow, that was really great. I have a lump in my throat. He is growing up right before our very eyes, it truly is an amazing thing to witness.
That was a very sweet post. It's such a joy to see little ones grow but at the same time it's sad. Joshie is soo adorable!!
Wow what a Great Post!! You think he's growing? You should be here in my Place, he's growing so fast, I just told Angie today he looks like he's grown just since Christmas. I feel like I'm missing alot of his life.
Thank you for the poem. I told my mom today that I was kinda jealous in a way. It seems really cool to really get to see God and Jesus. We know for sure that Grandaddy cowboy had asked Jesus into his heart. I'm not ready to leave here but it is cool to think of how neat it will be when we go see him. Thanks for the poem i loved it because it put a picture in my head. I will print it to show my denden. Sydney
