"THE WHEELS OF LIFE"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. Where are the Wheels of Your Life taking you? Some of us never stop to think about it. Maybe its time we did. This isn't meant to be a sermon, just a reminder, that maybe we need to take inventory of our own "WHEELS OF LIFE":-----THE WHEELS OF LIFE TURN ROUND AND ROUND---WE KNOW NOT WHAT ROAD THEY WILL GO DOWN---MOTHER EARTH IS THERE AND WE ALL NEED HER---BUT WE MUST BE SURE WE FOLLOW THE LEADER---WHO IS THIS LEADER THAT LEADS THE LIVES---OF SONS AND DAUGHTERS AND HUSBANDS AND WIVES---WHO HELPS US EACH DAY TO LIGHTEN THE LOAD---AND MAKE SURE OUR JOURNEY IS ON THE RIGHT ROAD---YOU MAY NOT KNOW HIM, YOU MAY NEVER HAVE MET---YOU MAY THINK YOUR LIFE IS ALREADY SET---BUT CHANGE IS GOOD, IT'S NEVER TOO LATE---FOR YOU TO STEP OUT FROM THOSE WHO WAIT---THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO ALREADY KNOW---EXACTLY WHICH WAY THEIR LIFE WILL GO---THEY FOUND THE HAPPINESS THEY WERE LOOKING FOR---AND HIS PROMISE TELLS US THERE WILL BE MORE---SO IF YOU'RE CONFUSED AND DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOIN'---IT'S VERY VERY EASY FOR YOU TO JOIN---JUST SURRENDER YOUR HEART BECAUSE HE ALWAYS SEES US---AND MEET THIS MAN KNOWN AS JESUS---PICK UP YOUR LIFE AND SHED ALL THE TRICKERY---AND FOLLOW OUR LEADER DOWN THE ROAD OF VICTORY---AND YOU WILL FIND WHEN YOU REACH THE END---THE RACE YOUR WHEELS OF LIFE RAN, WILL SURELY WIN:-----Just a thought. "THE VEGAS RUN"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw. Have you ever been to Las Vegas? There is nothing like the glittering lights, the casinos, the entertainment, the waitresses in short skirts, the free cocktails, and the ringing of the bells when someone hits a JACKPOT! If you've never been, you should go just once. It's a lot of fun. I know a couple who went recently, and according to them, their trip went something like this. We will call them Kathy and Thomas, and this is their VEGAS RUN:-----NOW KATHY AND THOMAS SAVED MONEY, FOR A WEEKEND OF ADVENTURE AND FUN---HOPPED A PLANE AND HEADED WEST TO TAKE ON THE VEGAS RUN---THEY COUNTED THE DAYS UNTIL TIME TO GO, BOTH COULD HARDLY WAIT---AND WOULDN'T YOU KNOW WHEN THE DAY ARRIVED, THE STUPID AIRPLANE WAS LATE---THOMAS HAD CAUGHT A TOUCH OF THE FLU, AND WASN'T FEELING WELL---IN FACT WHEN HE GOT TO THE AIRPORT, HE FELT LIKE A BUCKET OF HELL---FINALLY THEY BOARDED THE BIG BIRD AND WERE OFF TO SEE THE SIGHTS---TWO HOURS LATER THEY ARRIVED IN VEGAS, HOME OF FLASHING NEON LIGHTS---THOMAS WAS FEELING BETTER, HE STILL HAD A LITTLE COUGH---BUT THE BLACKJACK TABLES WERE STINGY, AND THE SLOTS WEREN'T PAYING OFF---THEY VENTURED OVER TO ANOTHER TABLE, AND TRIED THE ROULETTE SCENE---BUT THE NUMBERS THEY PICKED WERE BAD ONES, ESPECIALLY BLACK SEVENTEEN---THOMAS WOULD WIN A LITTLE MONEY AND PUT IT IN A STACK---KATHY WOULD COME BY AND TAKE A FEW CHIPS, AND SHE WOULD GIVE IT ALL BACK---ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD TRIP THOUGH THEY LOST A LITTLE DOUGH---IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND THEY WERE GLAD THEY GOT TO GO---AFTER ALL IT'S THE FUN YOU HAVE EVEN THOUGH YOU SELDOM WIN---KATHY'S JOY WAS SEEING THOMAS HAPPY, IT WAS THE FIRST TIME HE HAD EVER BEEN---SO NOW THEY ARE BACK AT THE PONDEROSA, FOR AWHILE THEY WILL PLAY IT COOL---WORK AND REST AND RELAX AT HOME, LAYING IN THE KIDS SWIMMING POOL---THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING NEXT YEAR, AND I THINK THAT'S JUST FINE---THEY INVITED ANYONE TO GO ALONG, TWO TEXAS PAWPAW WILL BE FIRST IN LINE---SO SAVE UP YOUR DOLLARS FOR NEXT YEAR, YOU MIGHT DO SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER DONE---YOU MIGHT HIT THE "JACKPOT BONANZA", WHILE MAKING "THE VEGAS RUN":-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will return.

"MOTHER OF ALL MOTHERS"

I KNOW A LILLY OF THE VALLEY, A BRIGHT AND SHINNING STAR---WHO NEVER LETS HER CHILDREN STRAY OFF VERY FAR---THOUGH THEY MAY NOT BE VISIBLE AND MAY BE FAR APART---SHE ALWAYS KEEPS THEM TUCKED AWAY IN THE CORNER OF HER HEART---KNOWN AS THE MOTHER OF ALL MOTHERS, AND HAS BEEN THROUGHOUT HER LIFE---THE GRANDMOTHER OF ALL GRANDMOTHERS, AS WELL AS A FAITHFUL WIFE---NEVER AN UNKIND WORD SHE SPEAKS, ALWAYS A BEAUTIFUL SMILE---NEVER LOVES ONE MORE THAN THE OTHER, AND BLESSED WITH A LOT OF STYLE---LIVING A LIFE THAT'S GODLY, FOLLOWING WORDS FROM THE BIBLE EACH DAY---TAKING TIME TO THINK OF OTHERS, MAKING SURE THEY LIVE THE RIGHT WAY---THE GREATEST MOTHER GOD LET LIVE, AND LIVE A LONG LONG TIME---WITH MANY MORE YEARS YET TO GO, AND MORE PEACE AND HAPPINESS TO FIND---THE GREATEST GIFT GOD EVER GAVE TO PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU---HAS TO BE THE LADY WE KNOW, AS OUR OWN "NANNY II":-----Happy Mothers Day Nanny II, from all your family, we love you. "A MOTHER"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw and, it's Mothers Day weekend. I hope you don't go through it without telling your mother, the mother of your children, your Grandmother or whatever mother she might be, "Thank you and I love you". If you would like to send your mother a poem, here is one you are welcome to use. It's called, "A MOTHER", and it goes like this:-----"A" stands for APPRECIATION which we sometimes fail to show---Because of our busy schedule, we tend to let it go---"M" stands for the MESSAGE, she sends us from her heart---Saying how much she loves us and has from the very start---"O" stands for OTHER things, she does for us each day---All the things we take for granite as she goes along her way---"T" stands for TIMES she spent, giving, yet doing without---Making sure our life was safe, and knowing there wasn't a doubt---"H" stands for HAPPINESS she spread throughout our years---We always saw her laughing and seldom saw the tears---"E" stands for EVERYTHING she did, to pick up all the pieces---To teach us there was right and wrong, and tell us about Jesus---"R" stands for REASONS that there'll never be another---Put them all together and they simply spell "A MOTHER":-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, wishing you and yours a very Happy Mothers Day.

"TWO TYKES AND TWO BIKES"

Hi folks, this is Two Texas PawPaw with a little poem about 2 tykes and 2 bikes, and it goes like this:-----NOW JOSH AND KAYLEIGH LOVE TO TAKE HIKES---RIDING LATE IN THE EVENING ON THEIR BRAND NEW BIKES---RESTING THEIR FEET ON THE HANDLE BARS----COASTING DOWN HILL AND COUNTING THE STARS---PAYING NO MIND TO WHAT'S IN THE ROAD---A COTTON TAIL RABBIT AND A HORNY TOAD---CAR HORNS HONKING AND THE SCREECHING OF BRAKES---DUCK WINGS FLAPPING ON THE CITY LAKES---JUST TWO PALS TAKING A RIDE---KEEPING THOSE BIKES SIDE BY SIDE---ONE NIGHT WHILE RIDING, GUESS WHAT THEY FOUND?---A CARDBOARD BOX JUST SETTING ON THE GROUND---WELL, THEY STOPPED AND OPENED THE BOX UP---AND INSIDE THEY FOUND A LITTLE BROWN PUP---HE WAS HURT, HIS LEG WAS BROKE---HAD TROUBLE BREATHING, WAS TRYING TO CHOKE---THEY TOOK HIM HOME AND FIXED HIS LEG---TAUGHT HIM HOW TO SIT AND FOR BITES TO BEG---THEY NURSED THAT PUP AND MADE HIM WELL AGAIN---AND THEN THAY NAMED HIM CHINNY-CHIN-CHIN---THAT LITTLE PUP WAS GONNA BE FINE---WHY HE DIDN'T EVEN WHINE---BUT 'LO AND BEHOLD, AT NIGHT HE HOWLS---JUST ANOTHER ADVENTURE IN THE LIFE OF TWO PALS:-----This is Two Texas PawPaw, signing off, and, the good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise, I will return.
